wide spectrum of related disciplines. He completed three
of years of a Bachelor of Architecture at the University
of NSW, while working with architects, landscape architects
and engineers.
Nick has travelled through Europe, India, Nepal, and

permaculture garden and in rainforest regeneration.
These experiences were crucial in forming an early understanding
of sustainable building and gardening techniques, and
developing design philosophy.
In 1997 he created a model of sustainable practice on
a 2 acre block at Repton building a low cost passive
solar house from second hand timber, mudbrick and packed
sawdust, including non toxic interiors. He owner built
the first council approved compost toilet in the Bellingen
shire, dual tank/town water. He’s worked as a
landscaper, native nursery and organic garlic farm hand.
He assisted in the building of a strawbale house and
is currently involved in the planning of an ecovillage
in Bellingen.
