LOT 6 BEACHFRONT CLOSE KORORA

Design brief:

To design two luxury villas of generous grand proportion each with separate and ample family and guest accommodation. Most rooms required to spill onto expansive balconies for maximum enjoyment of the magnificent ocean and beach vista.

Unit 1 is to include a plunge pool while Unit 2 is to include a lap pool, both with private courtyard/entertaining area access. Garage accommodation for each is to include a large double garage with room for storage/workshop as well as two vehicles.

Site faces North East with a narrow frontage and a restricted level area at the front and a severe slope to the rear.

Design Solution:

The success of this design lies in the clever placement of all garage accommodation to the rear with a single driveway access through and under the building. The inspiration for this idea borrowed from the coach houses of the 18th century. This resolution opened up the possibilities to allow for the creation of two large and imposing villas which meet the requirements of the two owners and their families exactly.
